Wildflowers and Butterflies

Guided by local botanist Maureen Mulligan and local naturalists Wendy and Dennis Allen, come out for a fall hike focusing on wildflowers and butterflies. Participants will hike a portion of the preserve and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer, examining the natural world found along the way. Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by foot. This 2.5 hour event will cover about 3 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails. Bring your own water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers. Free of charge.
Gates open at 9:30, hike starts at 10:00 when the front gate is locked. Late comers will not be admitted.
