Migratory Birds at the Swampside Tract

Participants will spend the morning walking through the long leaf pine savanna and along the hardwood swamps that make up more than half of the preserve looking at birds, butterflies, and anything else that we can find.  Be prepared to walk about 3 miles.

Participants should bring binoculars, a refillable water bottle, snacks, and a camera if desired.  Wear good, sturdy, closed-toe shoes for walking because miles will be covered.

Gate opens at 7:00 and is closed and locked at 7:30. Late arrivals will not be allowed access once the gate is closed at 7:30.
