Botany Hike at Swampside Tract

Guided by Maureen Mulligan, local botanist, join us for a spring flora hike focusing on wildflowers.   Participants will hike a portion of the preserve and visit some of the diverse ecosystems it has to offer, examining the plants we find along the way.  Fresh water swamps and upland forests await those who want to explore by foot.  This 2.5 hour event will cover about 3 miles of either crushed granite or grassy trails.  Bring your own water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather in comfortable layers.  Free of charge.  Gates open at 9:30, hike starts at 10:00 when the front gate is locked.  Late comers will not be admitted.
